Our second and final Professional Briefing of the year heard our very own Paul Spires thoughts on Pension safety. A topic you may have seen explored in July 2016 on BBC’s Panorama and Channel 4’s Dispatches.

Within the briefing Paul discussed Pension Scandals, the (un)surprising deficit of Final Salary Pension Schemes and also the risks to transferring without seeking appropriate advice. Highlighted specifically is the expectation to pay a fee for this advice.

The feedback has been fantastic and Paul has been highly praised for his delivery of the vast and intricate subject.

There is however, no denying the change of atmosphere in the room leading to the Business Card Prize Draw. Understandably so. Tensions were high as Paul reached to pick a card and as the name was announced, an eager fist punched the air…
