Aspirations in Business

Sound Financial Planning was immensely proud to be part of the IOD's Aspirations in Business event held at Colchester's 'Firstsite' last week. The event, designed to inspire and guide the entrepreneurs of tomorrow was packed full of enthusiastic year 12 & 13 students from local schools and collages, fantastic speakers and prestigious business owners from throughout Essex.

Those involved were entertaining, inspiring and motivational, and the speakers weren't bad either. It was a pleasure to hear the business ideas of the students and we wish them all the best for their future ventures.

Helping you make the most of your pensions - Peace of mind retirement

Sound on the BBC

Paul Spires appeared on BBC Essex on October 4th 2010 to discuss the Panorama programme that was to be shown that evening on BBC 1. The programme highlighted the high charges being levied by the Pensions industry and how this can eat into consumers long-term retirement funds. Paul gave his view on this problem, which is much bigger than just Pension funds and extends to all forms of collective investment.

Paul Spires was again a guest on BBC Essex on January 26th 2011 and discussed the latest inflation figures, what this means to people who are living on fixed incomes and how consumers can obtain a better return on their capital whilst interest rates remaining very low.

Testimonials

"We have been very satisfied clients of Sound Financial Planning for more than 3 years. They are able to look at the whole market for financial products and make impartical recommendations. While Sound do not keep any client moneys they are assiduous in checking that transactions have been carried out correctly. As a retired company secretary, formally responsible for dealing with the business's pension funds, this is a major comfort - large financial institutions can be spectacularly bad at keeping track of money invested with them".

David King

Retired Company Secretary

"Paul Spires recently spoke at one of the firm's Working Families Network events for staff. I found Paul to be an engaging speaker who was able to explain the concepts of financial planning in a way that was interesting whilst easy to grasp".
