Successfully Managing Your Wealth

To be financially well organised is an objective of many, but sadly achieved by few. At Sound Financial Planning we fully recognise this and that is why we are dedicated to helping our clients successfully manage their wealth by employing strategies that create and protect capital, which in turn enables them to achieve their desired lifestyle.

When making key decisions in life, particularly those affecting your future prosperity, it is always important to undertake background research. That is why the information contained within this brochure sets out to answer those important questions we find are often asked by people who are interested in seeking our guidance to successfully manage their wealth.

We are sure that you will find this to be of interest and would welcome the opportunity to explore how we may work together to improve and enhance your financial situation.

What is Financial Planning?

Financial planning is the process of meeting your life goals through the proper management of your finances. Life goals can include buying a home, saving for your child's education, planning to be financially independent at an early age or estate planning.

The financial planning process consists of six steps that help you take a "big picture" look at where you are financially. Using these six steps, you can work out where you are now, where you want to be in the future and what you must do to get there.

The process involves gathering relevant financial information, setting life goals, examining your current financial status and coming up with a strategy or plan for how you can meet your goals.

The Benefits of Financial Planning

Financial planning provides direction and meaning to your financial decisions. It allows you to understand how each financial decision you make affects other areas of your finances. Money is after all just a means to an end and not the end itself.

By viewing each financial decision as part of a whole, you can consider its short and long-term effects on your life goals. You can also adapt more easily to life changes and feel more secure that your goals are on track.

Testimonials

"We have been very satisfied clients of Sound Financial Planning for more than 3 years. They are able to look at the whole market for financial products and make impartical recommendations. While Sound do not keep any client moneys they are assiduous in checking that transactions have been carried out correctly. As a retired company secretary, formally responsible for dealing with the business's pension funds, this is a major comfort - large financial institutions can be spectacularly bad at keeping track of money invested with them".

David King

Retired Company Secretary

"Paul Spires recently spoke at one of the firm's Working Families Network events for staff. I found Paul to be an engaging speaker who was able to explain the concepts of financial planning in a way that was interesting whilst easy to grasp".
