Professional Briefing Seminar - The Demise of Pensions? Alternative creative tax planning ideas. - 08/10/2009
Our final Professional Briefing of 2009 will highlight the topical issue of Pension funding within the UK and the issues facing us all in terms of chronic under-funding, the reduction in higher rate tax relief and whether pensions are still of value. We will consider tax effective alternatives and suggest how professional advisers in the accounatcy and legal field can add value to their clients long-term financial well being.

We will be joined by representatives from Octopus Investments Ltd who are kindly sponsoring the event.

If you are a professional in the accountancy of legal field and would like to attend, please contact us. There is no cost to attend.

Wealth Creation Wealth Preservation Seminar - 19/11/2009
Our latest seminar for new and prospective clients will cover the hot topics of tax planning and mitigation in the new higher tax environment as well as the effects on long-term financial planning in light of the new Pension rules.

As always our seminars look at these issues in the context of personal financial goals, which should be incorporated within a personal Financial Plan. The seminar will look at legitimate tax planning angles and hopefully give attendees information and advice around strategies to assist them in mitigating higher rates of income tax, due to commence in 2010. We will also consider new Inheritance Tax planning methods aimed at tackling this 40% tax, which, in our opinion is purely optional!

Please contact us if you would like to attend and we will supply you with further details.

FTSE 100 Prediction Competition - 31/12/2009
The competition, opened in January 2009, reaches its conclusion at the end of December.

Testimonials

"We have been very satisfied clients of Sound Financial Planning for more than 3 years. They are able to look at the whole market for financial products and make impartical recommendations. While Sound do not keep any client moneys they are assiduous in checking that transactions have been carried out correctly. As a retired company secretary, formally responsible for dealing with the business's pension funds, this is a major comfort - large financial institutions can be spectacularly bad at keeping track of money invested with them".

David King

Retired Company Secretary

"Paul Spires recently spoke at one of the firm's Working Families Network events for staff. I found Paul to be an engaging speaker who was able to explain the concepts of financial planning in a way that was interesting whilst easy to grasp".
